Kunayev University Students Attended William Shakespeare’s Tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”.
As part of Theatre Week, on January 27, students and curators of Kunayev University once again visited the M. Lermontov State Academic Russian Drama Theatre, where they attended the world-renowned tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare.
This cultural event became another meaningful occasion reflecting the university community’s continued interest in theatrical art and its commitment to the spiritual and cultural development of students. The classical performance was presented at a high professional level, with stage design, lighting, and musical accompaniment creating a powerful artistic atmosphere and drawing the audience deeply into the storyline.
The director’s interpretation offered a modern perspective on the play’s ideological depth, while the internal conflicts and dramatic tension were conveyed with great expressiveness. The actors’ professional performance, particularly in portraying Romeo and Juliet, vividly revealed the themes of love, tragedy, and destiny, leaving a strong emotional impact on the audience.
