University students have the opportunity to learn and acquire knowledge, not only in the academic field, but also in the field of military affairs.

Military training is carried out at the Military Department at KazNU named after Al-Farabi. We enroll about 100 students each year.

At the Military Department at KazNU named after Al-Farabi, students receive high quality full-fledged military education. Upon successful completion of the department, you are awarded with the rank of reserve lieutenant (study period of 2 years during the 2nd and 3rd year) or reserve sergeant (study period of 1 year), opening new prospects for you in the military field.

The Military Department offers a comprehensive program of study that includes theory, practical training, and military exercises. You will learn skills such as strategic planning, tactics, command, and leadership that will be useful in both military and civilian environments.

The department values and supports military-patriotic activities, the students of the department actively participate in patriotic events, commemorations, and military parades. You will be able to take part in these events and show your devotion and pride in your country.
