Kunayev University’s Participation in the Wreath-Laying Ceremony Dedicated to the 114th Anniversary of Dinmukhamed Kunayev.

On January 12, 2026, a commemorative event marking the 114th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding statesman, public figure, and академician Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunayev was held in the city of Almaty.

As part of the event, a ceremonial wreath-laying at the bust of Dinmukhamed Kunayev took place. This solemn occasion was dedicated to paying tribute to a remarkable individual who left an enduring legacy in the nation’s history.

The ceremony was attended by the President of Kunayev University, Ömäräli Shakarapuly, Rector Ömiräli Zhazira, Vice-Rector for Educational and Socio-Cultural Development, Talgat Turashevich, as well as faculty members and the teaching staff of the university. Participants emphasized Kunayev’s significant contribution to the development of the country and noted that his life path and professional achievements serve as a role model for the younger generation.

Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunayev is a prominent historical figure who made an invaluable contribution to the political, socio-economic, and cultural development of Kazakhstan. For many years, he led the country with great responsibility, actively promoting the advancement of science and industry, education, and culture.
