Open seminar on the topic “System of Punishments and Their Types”.

On November 18, 2025, from 11:45 to 12:35, Abisheva Meruert Nurlankyzy, a lecturer at Kunaev University, conducted an open seminar on the subject “Criminal Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan (General Part)” on the topic “The System and Types of Punishments” with 2nd-year students of group ҚТ-24-ҚБ-01 in room 606.
 Purpose: To explain to students the concept of punishment and the system of punishments. To analyze the types of punishments, including: fines, correctional labor, community service, restriction of liberty, arrest, imprisonment, confiscation of property, deprivation of special, military, or honorary titles, class rank, diplomatic rank, qualification class, and state awards; deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities; deprivation of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan; expulsion of a foreign citizen or stateless person from the Republic of Kazakhstan. To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of punishments imposed under criminal law and to familiarize them with their practical application.

During the open seminar, various interactive tools and methods were used, including thematic performances, question-and-answer activities, and presentations.

The open seminar was attended by faculty members of the “Public Security” training program: S.M. Madykhan, S.T. Abdrakhmanov, S.K. Tassybaeva, Z. Nurdaulet, and others.
