Grand Opening of the “Book Exchange Corner” Exhibition
Akerke Ablaikhankyzy, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid an official visit to Kunaev University. The main purpose of the visit was to attend the grand opening of the “Book Exchange Corner” exhibition, as well as cultural and educational events dedicated to World Book Day on April 23.
As part of this significant occasion, the official opening of the “Book Exchange Corner” exhibition, dedicated to National Book Day, was held with the participation of Akerke Ablaikhankyzy. During the event, participants exchanged books and discussed initiatives aimed at promoting reading culture. This project is designed to increase students’ interest in reading and encourage lifelong learning.
The event was organized במסגרת the “Law and Order” pilot project and aimed at enhancing legal awareness among young people, strengthening civic responsibility, and fostering respect for law and public order. Issues such as legal education, adherence to academic integrity, and the development of an anti-corruption culture were also addressed.
The event was attended by veterans of law enforcement agencies, faculty members, and active students, who shared their experiences with the younger generation. The veterans emphasized the crucial role of law and order in ensuring social stability and noted that a bright future for the country depends on the combination of education and proper upbringing.
In addition, an open discussion was held for students, where topics such as the role of reading in modern society, the specifics of education in the digital age, and personal development were explored. Participants highlighted that books are not only a source of knowledge but also an essential tool for shaping thinking and culture.
This initiative, dedicated to World Book Day, has become an important platform for promoting reading culture within the university and inspiring young people to pursue knowledge, uphold moral values, and respect the law.
