The Department of Civil Law Disciplines is one of the leading and fundamental departments of the Eurasian Law Academy named after D.A. Kunayev, which trains specialists in such majors as "Jurisprudence" and "International Law". The department provides training for students in civil law specialization, including for the implementation of advocacy and notarial activities. Teachers of the department conduct classes on the following basic and elective disciplines: civil law of the RoK (General and Special parts), civil law of the RoK and LA, civil procedural law of the RoK, civil procedural law of the RK and LA, family law, labor law, land law, environmental law, business law, housing law, subjects of civil-law relations, enforcement proceedings, problems of civil and civil procedural law, etc.

The teaching staff of the department consists of highly qualified specialists. The department has a number of renowned practicing lawyers: D.J.S., Professor Uvarov V.N., D.J.S. Omirali Zh.O., C.J.S. Omurchiyeva E.М., D.J.S. Amangeldy А.А., C.J.S., Associate Professor Abdullina L.М. They act as arbitrators, attorneys, legal consultants, notaries, head law firms, combining teaching with legal practice. Teachers of the department take an active part in the work of the Law Clinic, created on the basis of the Eurasian Law Academy named after D.A. Kunaev. The students of the university are involved in the work of the clinic, free counseling of the population on legal issues is carried out. The head of the Law Clinic is Associate Professor, C.J.S. Abdullina L.М.

Famous scientists worked at the department for many years: the founder of Kazakhstani civilistics D.J.S., Professor Bassin Y.G., D.J.S. Ascheulov А.Т., The department was headed by renowned specialists in the field of civil law and related branches of law – S.Т. Kulteleyev, G.I. Tuleugaliyev, L.К. Yerkinbayeva. The current head of the department is C.J.S., Associate Professor Omurchiyeva Elvira Maratovna.
