The library of Kunayev University is one of the modern higher education libraries of Kazakhstan, a member of the Association of Higher Education Libraries of Kazakhstan. The library was organized in 1993 as a structural division of Kunayev University. The library is located on the 3rd floor of a 10-storey building at 107, Kurmangazy str.
Since its foundation, the library of Kunayev University has been actively involved in the formation of organizational, cultural, and intellectual environment in the university, provides information services to users, introduction of automation and new technologies, access to electronic resources.
The mission of the library is to be the center of integrated information support of educational and scientific processes.
More than 250,000 copies of domestic and foreign publications on all branches of knowledge, audiovisual materials and periodicals are at the disposal of readers.
There are 131 seats in the reading room, the Open Access Reading Room, and the Electronic Resources Room at the service of users.
Teachers and students have the opportunity to use various subscription and foreign databases, including "Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library", "IPR SMART-Saratov" "Paragraph", "Lan", "Scopus", "Elsevier", "Thomson Reuters", "SpringerLink", "Polpred.com media review" multimedia textbooks on law, economics, general education disciplines, full-text training courses and materials.
Today the library has managed to reach a completely new level of service through the use of the latest computer technologies. Formation of information resources, access to global Internet networks, transfer of paper books into electronic form makes the book fund maximally accessible to library users, and at the same time prolongs its preservation for future generations.
