Educational work at Kunaev University is an integral part of the educational process and occupies an important place in the strategic development of the university.

The system of educational work at the University is focused on the formation of a harmonious personality, the creation of conditions for the realization of the creative potential of students, their spiritual, moral, and physical self-improvement. The educational work of the University is aimed at such guidelines as responsibility for the development of Kazakhstani society, readiness to defend democratic transformations, the formation of an active position of youth, the introduction of various forms of self-government, solving problems of social protection of youth.

The purpose of the educational work department is to create favorable conditions for the formation of a socially responsible personality, social support for students, involvement of young people in social and cultural activities of the University, implementation of the state youth policy program, representation and protection of social and cultural interests of students.

The main directions of educational work are:

• Patriotic and civic education;

• spiritual, moral and aesthetic education;

• Legal education;

• Improving students' religious literacy and preventing extremism;

• physical education and healthy lifestyle formation;

• Economic education and environmental education;

• Fostering a culture of tolerance and interethnic harmony.

Educational work at the University is carried out at the level of the university, the department, the student group, the KDM (Youth Affairs Committee) and other structural units of the university. The organization and management of the educational process is carried out by the vice-rector and the coordinator for educational work.

One of the established forms of educational work is the work of the "Council of Curators". The peculiarity of this system is the participation of all curators, the entire teaching staff and staff in the education of students.

In order to establish standards of conduct for university students and ensure a procedure that provides basic guarantees of fairness for any student, the Student Honor Code and the internal regulations of Kunaev University have been adopted.

Special attention is paid to the promotion and implementation of the main provisions of the annual Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the people of Kazakhstan. Comprehensive measures are being taken to clarify the priority directions of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

One of the main priorities of educational work is to improve legal literacy, prevent offenses among young people and anti-corruption activities. In order to implement this priority, round tables, debates and lectures are regularly held.

Kunaev University pays special attention to the issues of social protection of students.

The main forms of providing social assistance to students are:

• Payment of scholarships from among orphans and children left without parental care;

• providing discounts on tuition fees to students from among orphaned children left without parental care, students with disabilities, students from large, low-income, single-parent families, excellent students;
