Educational program’s purpose - The purpose of the program is to train competitive and highly qualified specialists in the field of international law with a high level of knowledge in their professional activities, ready to become leaders with skills and abilities in various fields of international law aimed at analyzing and evaluating complex foreign policy processes taking place in the international arena, in terms of the possibility of resolving problems through international law to ensure peace and security, respect for human rights and freedoms.

The primary objectives of the educational program are: 

to acquire a broad range of theoretical and practical knowledge in the professional field;

to cultivate competent and competitive individuals with the potential for self-development and the ability to adapt to changing societal conditions;

to obtain a high-quality education and professional competence in the field of international law;

to develop and implement a research project (master's thesis);

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:

Apply international treaties and other legal norms to protect the legal rights and freedoms of individuals and legal entities within the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad.

Employ tactical approaches to determine the most appropriate forms and directions of interaction between investigators and operational-analytical units of law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign states, as well as international police organizations.

Apply a comprehensive approach to resolving interstate conflicts and disputes, as well as civil conflicts in neighboring regions, with a focus on the possibilities of preventive diplomacy and mediation.

Utilize foreign languages at a high professional level to analyze, summarize, and systematize legal and scientific information; as a means of conducting diplomatic negotiations; 1 and to represent and protect the interests of the country in international courts, arbitration tribunals, and other bodies.

Apply theoretical knowledge to professional practice.

Make legal decisions and perform other legal actions in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international law.

As legal experts, consultants, or specialists in international law within government ministries, agencies, or other state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
