The Department of Professional Practice and Business Career is a structural division of Kunayev University. The activities of the department are aimed at assisting students in professional practice and maximizing the employment of the Academy's graduates.

Main functions of the department:

• expansion of social partnership, strengthening of relations between the academy and practice bases and other educational organizations, production;
• assistance to the Academy departments in conducting educational and professional (pre-graduation) practice of students;
• assisting students and graduates of the academy in career development and employment;
• coordination of activities of structural divisions of the Academy on direct employment of graduates;
• forecasting the structure of demand on the labor market based on the results of the labor market analysis, determining the ratio of demand and supply of specialists in the regional and professional qualification profile.

• together with the departments ensures the planning, organization and registration of all types of practices;
• together with the departments, concludes professional practice contracts, memorandums on cooperation with enterprises and organizations for the purpose of employment of graduates;
• together with the departments allocates students-practitioners to practice bases, prepares submissions for orders to send students for professional practice;
• coordinates the activities of all departments involved in the organization and conduct of professional practice;
• establishes communication with ministries and agencies, state organizations and institutions in order to identify the need for specialists in the given profile;
• creates a computerized database on graduates employment.
